Kelsi was a HERO!!

I got a call at work the other day from Kelsi, I asked her how her day was and she said it was really great. She had a little pep in her voice so I asked what was so great.  She told me when she got home from school she came around the corner and there was a baby walking down the street.  ( Yah my jaw dropped just like yours is right now there are no babies that even live on our street.) I asked her what she did and she said she got him out of the street and called Dad!!  Richard told her to call the police and so she did.  She stayed outside with the toddler.  A neighbor came out as well and they were all just waiting.  Then the mom I guess came around the corner and came and got the toddler.  She was walking so she couldn't get the license plate or anything and I am not sure really what the mom said. The police came and interviewed Kelsi and the neighbor but they didn't have much info because they were not sure where they lived.  At the end of the story when she was telling me she ended and said " mom I was like a HERO today!!! That baby could have really gotten hurt if a car would have came around the corner." She did a great Job!!  

Spring Break Disneyland Pictures!!

Yiks!!  I am a little behind.  The week after Universal Kelsi and I went to Disney land.  We were able to stay for a couple of days and kick it in a hotel for the night.  We were able to go swimming and eat and eat!!  Oh did I say we ate a little!!  Yiks damage control was needed when we got home.  We had a very nice time though.  They started a new show on the main street that was really fun.  We didn't sit in the right place but in June when we go back we know right where to sit.  (Grandma and Grandpa, my sister, cousin, and nephew are coming too).  We went back and saw the fireworks that night which was really nice.  Again sat in the wrong spot of course, we sat in the spot for 2 hours thinking we had the perfect place to see WRONG!!  So we know again right where to sit.  But in all these wrong seats we had a really nice time just hanging out with each other.  Spring break has come to a end but Kelsi told me today that there is only 9 more weeks of school so I am looking forward to that!!  We had a really nice break with our 2 mini vacations!! 

Jacob made it to school!! April 8,2009

 Jacob wanted to give it a try actually ride his Unicycle to school 1 day before the school year was over.  This was his goal when he got it for Christmas.  He tried it today and made it.  He just called and said he was able to do it and ride it the 1-1/2 - 2 miles to school which is a long ride on one wheel.  He really wished that he got the juggling thing down but I guess he is still needing a little more practice on that!!  He told a lot of people he was going to do it so he wouldn't back out of it.  Everyday he goes and gets the mail on it and has been improving.  Although the other day was a sad day he got his earphones caught up in the wheel and it cut it off so now he only has 1/2 an earphone set.  I will have to tell you how he gets home because it is uphill to come home and the winds usually kick up right when he gets off school.  

Our Trip To Universal Studios

We took a trip to Universal Studios the beginning of spring break but I have been so busy with spring break, work, my new computer ( I love it) and just life I haven't had time to get on here so there will probably be many updates the next few days.  The whole family went and took a friend so everyone had a really great time.  Here are some pictures of the day...

March 18,2009 Strawberry Shortcake!!

Can you admagine never having Strawberry Shortcake?? This was Elder Leil's ( oh I hope I spelt it right!!) first time having it!! I guess it is an American treat. He loved it!!! It was funny watching him make it. He wasn't sure what we were doing!!Our New Missionary!! Welcome....

Kelsi recital

Kelsi had a recital and played a piece from the church hymn book. She is no longer taking lessons but because she took lessons most of the year the teacher still let her play. I really wish she would continue because she is really good but she doesn't like practising. She looked beautiful!! The song that is playing is the song that she played however this is not her playing or singing!! Love is spoken here.

Another Jacob Story!! March 10,2009

These stories can only come from this guy!! So today was picture day at the high school. Oh never mind that he just had his wisdom teeth taken out this weekend and he looks like a chipmunk!! But I thought they always took these pictures at the beginning of the year. Anyway I guess things have changed over the time I have graduated ( we wont talk about how many years that was!!) So I guess one of his Friends brought a nice dress shirt and tie and kept giving it to all the guys he knew so in the year book they will all be wearing the same shirt and tie!! What a neat idea huh?? Richard and I got a great laugh out of that tonight!! Just thought I would share the story with you all!! I wish I was there you know I would have taken a picture but I didn't get an invite!!

This was another Cruise picture that I just found today!! I didn't realize how beautiful of a picture I took!! This was our last night on the cruise watching the sunset while we were eating a wonderful dinner!!! Of course I had to ask the couple by the window If I could get a shot at the sunset!! Lucky for me they were happy to let me in!! How rude of me but I am so glad I did it!!

Cindy's Freak Snow Storm

My sister woke up this morning expecting a normal day!! Yesterday was beautiful!! When her husband went to work this morning and got the paper everything was dry ( the newspaper wasn't even wrapped in plastic) then a little later she looked out side and this is what she saw!! The funny thing is my dad lives across town and he got maybe 3 inches of snow!! Amazing what can happen a few miles away!! Sparks, NV

Ok Just so no one has bad thoughts they are not sitting on the freeway almost getting hit, but they are on a road up top from the Grapevine. Where no cars I guess even drive on the road!! Here is Big brother to the rescue within about 10 minutes she was back on her way from her blowout!!

A Prayer Request

I am not sure if anyone has heard about Baby Jonah, It has been in the news in several areas. I don't usually do this sort of thing specially when I don't know the person, personally but this story has just touched my heart. I have been following her blog and she is in need of some prayers!! When you have time read her story and if you can pray for her little boy!!

March 2,2009 The feeling black and white gives!!

I know you are probably getting tired of my beach pictures but I had time to play today and I was turning some pictures into black and white I just had to share this one!! I love how much meaning this picture has when I changed the color on it. Specially how Richard is turned and looking in my direction. I think I am going to have to frame this one.
